@bermandr2 @drkathrynmannix Soothing delicate and kind can hinder acceptance of the grief process if a misunderstanding of terminology. Direct words and terminology said in a compassionate way is better IMHO

@bermandr2 Interesting debate here. Unfortunately within grief you have to be direct for real understanding. It’s been proven that misunderstanding can cause more trauma and getting to acceptance of death. Unfortunately passed away is not a term I would use within my role.

@PFEW_HQ I find it difficult to understand the word “criticise” when eating or drinking. In Europe Police officers are regularly seen in cafes in uniform. Only in the UK is it deemed a problem. Flip it on its head. Could argue that’s excellent community based policing and meeting public

Why isn’t there wholesale role out??, cost is no argument because long term sickness because of MSK problems will outweigh cost of armour. Thoughts?

@libertyhq Watch the video that you shared and explain how you would deal with that situation alone at 2 am with back up miles away. Lucky there were 2 officers present normally single crewed. Please tell me what you want from the Police service dealing with these jobs
