5 février 1979, McCartney met la touche finale à un nouveau single à paraître un peu plus d'un mois plus tard.
Paul n'a jamais eu peur de s'attaquer à tous les registres musicaux avec la réussite qu'on lui connaît. Pourtant, il ne comptait pas faire d'incursion dans le disco. Il ne sentait pas inspiré par ce courant musical qui a explosé au milieu du 70's. Seulement voilà, McCartney a un égo, un orgueil, une fierté. Alors quand un journaliste lui fait remarquer fin 1978 qu'il a été #1 de tous les classements sauf de celui des night clubs récemment créé, il sourit. Il sourit mais il ne l'oublie pas. Puisque quelques mois plus tard, il tente de corriger cette "anomalie". Et il sera #1 dans les night clubs de fin avril à mai 1979. Et aujourd'hui, tout le monde ou presque connaît ce titre.
