Feeling your pain. Maybe it’s ‘cause:

1) NASA squandered its good will by not going boldly with humans post-Apollo (tho science has been amazing).
2) Public feels no equity stake in private elite self-funded moonshots (tho I support private space).
3) Extractive practices and social shortfalls by those elites in building funding for their vanity projects does not invite the public aboard (tho I have some empathy for their emotional intelligence deficits).
