@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight The man in question was simply asked to sit where there were some empty seats in one of the rows at the back so that it would be full. The green room was in another part of the building and that door was the closest with which the panel could enter as well.
@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight Because I think it’s important to reassure you on this I spoke to the floor manager. As both of these audience members arrived late (you will recall Alex Cole Hamilton was also delayed) the door they entered by was the closest to security to save time.
BBC Scotland channels vg political discussion show #DebateNight hosts special programme from Hamilton, the town at heart of next weeks Holyrood by-election; no candidates, but full range of party leaders questioned by @StephenJardine (the good looking one in middle!), 30k watched
@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight The only people in the green room are the panel John. Do you mean the audience waiting area where you were all gathered as you arrived? He didn’t ask a question, he just voiced his opinion on the topic, same as loads of people who put their hand up. His seat was not pre selected
@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight Her chances of asking a question were 100% as the question she submitted was selected from all the questions to kick off a debate on that topic. You were asked to submit questions when you applied just like her. That’s how these kind of shows work.
@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight The crew need to know where the questioners are sitting so that when Stephen says “our next question is from Joe Bloggs” they know who to point cameras and microphones at. It’s different when he says “the man in the red top” then they have to just find them asap, that’s why.
@Hamill2086John@bbcdebatenight Didn’t happen John, she was simply very late arriving and came through security just like you did. I pre select the seats for the questioners so they don’t all end up randomly sitting next to each other. The floor manager was making sure she sat in the seat I earlier specified.
@paulOr 👋🏼 My UPRN is 906173244 - there is an issue with my bin dates you have moved the Brown Bin days from Friday to Thursday, however they are actually Tuesday.
Watch what the Debate Night panel said on the question: "What will Alex Salmond’s legacy be?" in under 2 minutes

@paulOr 👋🏼 My UPRN is 906173244 - Hi Paul, thanks for sorting my calendar. I noticed though that the Brown Bin day says Friday, it should be the Tuesday of that week.
@trafficscotland it’s Friday 13th!! - stay at home in the central belt. M8 has multiple queues, where the M80 & M876 meet is at walking pace for miles and the M74 just west of J1 has a fender bender in the outside lane. Give up, go for a walk, maybe take a picnic - is my advice.
📢Debate Night returns on Wednesday 18 Sept📢
Over the next series we're coming to Edinburgh, Dundee, Dumfries, Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Fife
