These photographs were taken last week. This is the south entrance to Ray Brown Memorial Park in Alger, Ohio. The @OhioHistory marker to Brown will be installed at the park's main ball diamond. Dedication event on Th, May 14th at 1pm. @NLBMuseumKC@baseballhall@SABRLandmarks
Great visit to @ToledoMuseum today. Special exhibition on magic in the ancient world and a glassblowing demo. Final field trip of the semester. Glad @ohionorthern gives students these opportunities. @history_at_onu@onualumni
I took my 'Heritage Preservation' class to @SauderVillage last week. As the place doesn't open to the public for another couple weeks, we had it all to ourselves. We had a little assistance finding the hidden speakeasy in the 1920s Main Street. @ohionorthern
(3/3) Who needs an absorbinantly priced English history book for Christmas? No mentions of Scrooge, Father Christmas, or The Snowman... rather Magna Carta, the Crystal Palace, Peterloo, and the Battle of Hastings

(2/3) A line from the @contbrithist review:
"Strittmatter makes an important contribution to the history of British preservation and heritage after the grand 19th-century wave of protecting the past." @BATW_tweets@PalgraveHistory This should beat the review in @JBritishStudies.
(1/3) Just saw the review of my book in the June issue of @contbrithist... Final line of the review: This book "stands as a valuable spur to begin this work of chronicling how heritage operates and alters as a device for articulating national identity." Good. Thanks. @Palgrave
