@profshoelace Excellent idea! I never thought of that! My notion was that a centering loop would limit slippage better if it attaches to the tongue within a crossover's acute angles rather than its obtuse angles. So that's two advantages, and yours is bigger.

Tongue centering loops are done all wrong. They should be stitched down on the left and right edges and open on the other sides. Also, they should be placed mid-way between the levels of two adjacent eyelet rows, not almost even with a row.
