@CarolineBignell@TerrySparrow4 Yes, maybe. But I've lived in France for over 30 years, and I'm saying that is Bullshit. Rent + food + utilities is just not on. @terrySparrow can confirm.
@martincjoc Unusual to say the least. I can't believe no-one noticed it, and why on earth didn't the referee say something. He was on a hiding to nothing. If PSG had lost you can imagine the incriminations. Arsenal's favourite referee etc.
Kick me if you like, but I've only just realised that the referee, Daniel Siebert, was the same ref. who was in charge of the 1st leg, quarter-final v. Sporting and the 2nd leg semi-final v. Atletico. Surely that was a mistake. I've never seen anything like that before.
@paulmorley19 And that's the way it should be. By the way, I'm a Gunner but I went to Cologne to support you in the Semi-final. My God, was that really 47 years ago.
One thing I forgot to mention is that, here in France, obviously outside of Paris, every single one of my acquaintance agrees that we were robbed. Most say that we should have had two penalties, one would have satisfied me. ๐ก But it is what it is.
@scoutingindoors Bugger me. 2 weeks after we are crowned Champions and a week after the UCL final which we narrowly lost, you want to rebuild the team. Give it a rest.
Like many among you I've been savouring the fact that we are Champions, and have watched a lot of replays of all the matches and goals. If ever there was a goal to give us hope and belief, it was Gabi Martinelli's 93rd minute equaliser against City. Assisted by Eze.
After winning the Premier League I thought it would be a nice relaxing evening to watch PSG/Gunners. Wanting a win, but not to worried about losing. That's not how it was. The team was magnificent, penalty should have been given, but it is what it it is. Roll on next season.
