I’ve covered a lot of superstars transitions with the Lakers. Shaq-Kobe, Kobe-Dwight and now LeBron-Luka. None of them have been as clean as this one, which I think is a testament to the respect those two guys had for each other. Was there tension around the whole thing? Sure. But nothing compared to the fireworks of other transitions.
Lakers have a clean slate without LeBron on the books
LBJ’s decision no longer holding the FO captive to a certain extent

He helped guide the fanbase through the difficult time of Kobe's passing. Truly wish him nothing but the best and hope he finds happiness wherever he decides to finish his career.
