@pinstripedline Ah, a Times journalist for 12 years, before becoming a civil service director covering things he surely had no professional experience or qualifications in. Standard, whether Tory or Labour. Will we ever learn?
No shade on Neil, but for anyone wondering, it's a really good film, and I recommend you watch it. This bullshit about EVERY film or adaptation is so tiring. Culture war, bots, incels in the basement, whatever. Just enjoy the movie.
Saw The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm
As many know, I value cinematic accuracy.
Some complain about its โWokeโ casting. But Christopher Nolanโs choice to have actors speak English rather than authentic Ancient Greek in original dactylic hexameter is what I found to be most incredulous.
@Footballtweet VAR, often makes mistakes. It's part of the game. The game has rules, and it has an appeals process. Every team has grievances. The President intervening is pathetic, and corrupt. I hope the kid has the balls to refuse to play.
@erichhartmann Does being a free thinking American, mean, basically, you'll bend any rule that suits you? Because anyone with a brain knows sports, especially at this level, have rules and processes for appeal. The President pressuring a (I grant you, weak) FIFA official is cheating, mate.
What are you going to do to address the cost of living? The energy cap has gone up again. What about entry level employment for young people? Defence spending? This is what I'm worried about. It's not dependent on illegal immigrants, Nigel. What's the plan?
The mainstream media constantly distorts what I say. You can no longer rely on them to report the truth.
Thatโs why Iโve decided to speak to you directly and launch my essays to Britain. โ๏ธ

@Vivek4real_ Grow up. The very idea people like him will look after expendable human capital like most of us, is laughable. We will probably end up as bio fuel.
@AfcGunnas11@I_amMukhtar Hey, so your argument is, he's a total drain on society, but it's ok because he's "our drain on society"? The rest of us, living here, not committing 100s of criminal offences, should put up with these people, cos he's in his own county. That's a shit argument, mate.
@haralabob French Revolution vibes. Look at how the President responded to questions over ticket prices. Then again, Instagram etc seems to be brain washing the masses that those who horde unimaginable wealth should be celebrated, and they are just lazy, so maybe that will balance out.
@ZiaYusufUK I live in central Southampton, Portswood area. It's quiet. The thugs who terrified local residents, damaged their property and scared their children aren't very popular, pal. We won't forget who helped encourage that. Making political capitol from am awful one off incident.๐
@LeeAndersonMP_ Fuck you, Lee. How about you come over to Portswood, in Southampton and have a chat with the local residents. See what they have to say about their property damaged, and their children terrified.
@Jenny_1884 No one is telling anyone they can't put a flag up on their own property. Key point is "your own property". Otherwise, it's literally no different to graffiti.
