JRJR penciled it for an inker — pure black‑and‑white — and then it was beautifully painted, adding an entirely new dimension. As a fellow inker, I probably would’ve gone jet‑black on Spider‑Man and let the stars in the sky define the shadows on the costume. But once it became a painted piece, it evolved into something else entirely.
That’s the beauty of this art form: pencils become inks, and sometimes become paint, and at every stage a different artist can take it in a different direction and create a different outcome. That evolution is something to celebrate — it’s collaboration in motion.
You don’t have to love the pose or every choice made, but the rendering is strong, and the painting layered over it is genuinely impressive work.
It’s fuckin bullshit that with all the heat vision the Predators in Predator movies use that we never once see someone pop off a fart. Unrealistic film making
AERIALBOT THUNDERCRACKER!!
Unfortunately, Skybound has Just spoiled that THUNDERCRACKER will become an Arm for SUPERION with the recent cover reveal of Issue 36!
I'm VERY excited to see how this plays out!
I was about to tweet about another band I feel have fallen off but I remember the 7 guys who loved Airbourne getting up me and realised this band I wanted to be critical of actually has a following. I’ll keep this thought to myself thanks
Before we asked our buddy Cousin Mike to direct the video for our song Mope, we asked Matt Groening to direct it. I found the rejection letter he sent to our manager Brett in one of our road cases over a quarter century later and had it framed for his birthday. Please ignore the reflection of Brett's effeminate little Tyrannosaurus rex arms in the photo.
