From 2023 to 2026, my life changed completely.
I went from running businesses worth over ₦35 million to being left with almost nothing.
I used to supply about 70 tons of steel every month. Then inflation, unstable prices, and market crashes destroyed my business. I invested ₦6 million in a recycling machine hoping to recover, but by the time I processed the materials, prices had collapsed and every kilogram was sold at a loss.
As if that wasn't enough, violence broke out in Ubulu-Uku, Delta State, and our goods were burned. Everything I had worked for was gone.
Today, I am still owed millions of naira by people I trusted. I was also scammed of ₦1.5 million. I have the scammer's phone number, bank account details, and transfer receipt, but when I reported the case, I was told that pursuing it could cost almost as much as the money I lost.
This isn't a post asking for pity. It's a reminder that behind every successful business is someone taking real risks, and sometimes everything can disappear despite years of hard work.
I'm still standing. I'm still believing. And one day, I will rebuild.

These photos tell part of my story.
Between 2023 and 2026, I lost a business worth over ₦35 million.
I supplied steel, invested in recycling, employed workers, and believed I was building something that would last for generations.
Then inflation, market crashes, bad debts, scams, and violence destroyed years of hard work.
Some of the photos show the business when it was growing. Others show what remained after the destruction.
I am sharing this not for sympathy, but for anyone who is currently struggling. Success is not always a straight line.
I lost almost everything, but I did not lose my faith, my experience, or my determination.
One day, I will rebuild.
