During the 12 days leading up to Christmas 2021, we watched the film Christmas with the Kranks every single day and posted about it here.

Well gang, the moment is here. 12 Days of Krankmas is OFFICIALLY over. 12 days. 12 viewings of Christmas with the Kranks. Itβs hard to sum up how Iβm feeling in this moment, so hereβs a brief summary of my final thoughts on the movie. π§΅
When Spike walks in on the robber stealing from the Kranks, it gives the distinct impression that heβs just wandering around the house and looking in all the rooms - which I gotta say, credit where credits is due, thatβs 10/10 shitty kid energy.
It truly is so funny that all the neighbours would make such an effort for the Kranks, who have been nothing but awful for days, JUST because Blair is coming home. Sure she babysat their kids but I imagine they paid her like they owe this family nothing and they deserve nothing.
This movie needs a radically different first half. We need more time with Blair before she leaves, we need to explore Nora's empty nest syndrome, and for the love of God they need to cut back on the amount of people who have the same "Skipping Christmas?!" conversation.
Somehow it took me up until viewing 12 to notice how wet the Hickory Honey Ham sounds when Nora shakes it. Absolutely revolting. Iβm a vegetarian myself but Iβm pretty sure ham shouldnβt slosh around like that.
I was genuinely so concerned that the actor who plays Marty/Santa (spoiler alert) was dead that I didn't even look him up. Turns out he's fine; just real old.
The panpipe introductoon to the Peruvian Christmas carol that they sing at the Christmas Eve party has been permanently etched into our minds. If I had a parrot in my house, that's the only sound it would make.
I have to assume the line about fish tacos in an Irish pub was improvised. It just feels like Tim Allen complaining about his lunch for the day to a Jamie Lee Curtis who is unable to escape.
