@ZeldasBreakfast This is pure nostalgia and I admit that. I was introduced to the series with the original game. But I fell in love with the series with Ocarina of Time. So OOT for the win for me.
@MetroidTheorist 2) However she did that from a place of good intentions and pure hearted love for Link. And could have never known the consequences of doing it. So yea I think calling her the villain is extremely unfair.
@MetroidTheorist 1) I do believe that sending Link back in time at the end of OOT was a huge mistake. It lead to there being no hero when Ganon broke out of the sacred realm, leading to the great flood, and it lead to no one remembering what Link went through in the child timeline.
@redTGPZ The only reason it doesn’t bother me with OOT remake is because the idea that the mark means he was chosen was the original lore back when it was introduced in Zelda 2 and has been used again since OG OOT. But I totally get where you are coming from.
@OniBelfi This is not a retcon. They are using the mark for its original purpose. The original lore of the mark was it symbolized his worthiness to hold the triforce of courage, not his ownership. That was the lore of the mark in Zelda 2 and it was that way in skyward sword.
@GrandPOOBear The original purpose of the mark was meant to symbolize his worthiness anyway. Not his possession of the triforce. Both skyward sword and Zelda 2 give him the mark when he doesn’t have possession of the triforce.
@BitzelFox It doesn’t matter. Skyward Sword and Zelda 2 were also different Links and they still got the mark for the same reason, because of their worthiness. Just because it wasn’t done that way in OG but they’ve decided to do so this time around doesn’t mess with OOT’s story at all.
@ZeldaLuverr Link having the mark before having the triforce is not a new concept. He had the mark before obtaining the triforce in skyward sword. And he also had it in Zelda 2.
@SmashJT Everyday I think I’ve seen the biggest fucking idiot on this app. And the next day a bigger one comes along. You are gonna be mighty hard to top though
