JUSTICE COMES HOME:
How Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu Ph.D CFR @OfficialBenKalu and APC Abia Secured a Historic Judicial Milestone for Abia Workers
In a historic development that marks a profound shift for the labor force of Abia State, a permanent division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) is officially being established within the state. For decades, Abia workers facing labor, employment, or trade union disputes endured the grueling and costly burden of traveling to Enugu State to seek legal redress.
Today, that narrative has officially changed.
This monumental institutional breakthrough was attracted to the state through the strategic intervention of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, backed by the progressive machinery of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.
Driven by a deep-seated passion for workers' welfare, Kalu’s advocacy has successfully brought labor justice directly to the doorstep of the Abia workforce.
The absence of a local Industrial Court has long been a quiet crisis for employees across both the public and private sectors in Abia. Navigating employment disputes is inherently stressful; adding interstate travel, logistical expenses, and geographical displacement only widened the gap between vulnerable workers and the justice they deserved.
With this new division, the National Industrial Court will sit locally to adjudicate critical matters that directly impact the livelihoods of citizens, including; The recovery of unpaid salaries and allowances, case-of wrongful termination and breaches of employment contracts, long-standing pension and gratuity disputes for retirees, trade union conflicts, collective bargaining issues, and strike resolutions.
By domesticating this specialized court, the Deputy Speaker has not only streamlined the legal process but has effectively safeguarded the economic rights of everyday workers.
What sets this achievement apart is its comprehensive scope. This intervention is not merely the allocation of a courtroom; it is the systematic construction of a sustainable judicial infrastructure.
Simultaneously moving forward alongside the main court project is the development of a dedicated Judicial Officers' Residence and modern Judges’ Quarters. Fully attracted by Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, these parallel projects ensure that the judges and legal authorities deployed to the state are provided with secure, dignified, and world-class accommodation. This holistic approach guarantees that the court can attract and retain top-tier judicial talent, ensuring swift and uncompromised delivery of justice.
This landmark feat stands as a powerful testament to what focused, people-centric governance looks like. For APC Abia, this milestone reinforces the party’s commitment to tangible grassroots development, economic justice, and institutional reform.
By identifying a critical gap in the state's legal infrastructure and aggressively deploying legislative influence to fix it, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has delivered a generational win for Abia State. The message to the workers of Abia is now undeniably clear: your welfare is valued, your labor is respected, and justice has finally come home.
In my recent tweet as seen below, one of the emphasis i made was that we have some silent private sector companies that are INVESTING in the Nigeria Agricultural sector but you won’t see most online but they are getting Government support to establish industries and providing jobs for thousands of Nigeria which is as a result of the policies and economic direction of President Tinubu..
I don’t need to convince you too much that the economy is working if you still can’t see it, think and strategize how you can benefit as an individual or organization..
Here is a video of what CWay, yes the same CWay water we all know has carefully moved into the Livestock sector 🐄 🐮 to produce FRESH MILK 🥛 in Ogere Ogun state Nigeria.
Please watch the video and hear all you need to hear yourself..
Don’t seat behind your phone and thinks Nigeria ends with all you read on social media. Nigeria can only be great ONLY if we believe in it to make it work..
Thank you!

Nigeria is pursuing one of its most ambitious infrastructure initiatives in decades: a proposed $60 billion high-speed rail network spanning up to 4,000 kilometers. This project aims to connect major economic hubs and transform transportation, trade, and regional integration. While it has generated significant excitement, it remains in the planning and review phase as of mid-2026, with no construction underway yet.
The high-speed rail proposal builds on years of discussions about modernizing Nigeria’s aging rail network, which has historically relied on narrow-gauge lines in poor condition. The new project envisions a modern, electrified (or gas-powered) high-speed system designed for speeds potentially reaching 200–350 km/h, far surpassing existing standard-gauge lines like the Lagos-Ibadan route

Expansion update overview of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
The Akanu Ibiam International Airport is a federal airport operated by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and serves as a major aviation gateway for Enugu State and the South-East region.
The airport currently operates with a single main terminal handling both arrivals and departures, with flight operations largely dominated by domestic routes such as Enugu–Abuja and Enugu–Lagos. Although designated as an international airport, international operations remain limited at present.
The facility features a 3,000-metre asphalt runway capable of accommodating medium to large aircraft under suitable operational conditions. Passenger traffic is estimated at approximately 350,000–500,000 passengers annually based on available historical aviation data.
There have been ongoing federal-led efforts and stakeholder engagements aimed at improving and modernising the airport’s infrastructure to enhance capacity and efficiency. These discussions focus on strengthening terminal facilities, improving passenger processing systems, and supporting broader aviation development objectives.
Such improvements are intended to enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and support economic and commercial activities across the South-East region as aviation capacity continues to develop.

Nigeria’s revenue surged 49% in the first five months of the year, exceeding government projections as an overhaul of the tax system and new levies on industries including petroleum and mining boosted collections. https://t.co/c0II3HRuJL
When we came into office, we made a promise to Nigerians that food security would be a major pillar of our Renewed Hope agenda.
We promised to support our farmers, strengthen local production, reduce dependence on imports, and build an agricultural system strong enough to withstand shocks from beyond our borders.
That promise is being kept.
