It's not that hard or expensive to send a sandwich, fruit and a bottled water. Your child is your responsibility AND it's your responsibility to teach them to be self sufficient.

They BADLY neglected his care when he was alive but I'm STILL getting CMS statements where his healthcare providers are trying to refile for insurance payments.

@Iamtammytavares We love having people who love our state here, but I hate that it means giving up the rural areas we've all grown up in for the sake of "expansion". In 20 years my hometown has grown by ~150%. In another 10 years, it will be exactly like the places everyone moved here to escape.

@anjum_ai Yeah point 2 doesn't work for a lot of women. Despite being extremely competent, I was pushed out of a job for exactly this. I was told I seemed "unfriendly" and "the girls on the team didn't think I liked them". I wasn't there to make friends. I was there to do my job.

@Amiejokes2much Moving to the "country" is no longer affordable either. We're 1.5hrs outside of DFW. It USED to be the country here. Now it's $500k+ subdivisions, toll roads through farmland, huge tax hikes & crime we never had before. It's sad to see the place you grew up being destroyed.

@Amiejokes2much @TexKatJ I think most of us just don't want our way of life destroyed. We enjoy the peace and quiet and see it being eroded. We have tons of people moving to the town I grew up in and raised my child in who want to change it. They aren't moving here because they like it the way it is.
