@markhoro At least your GP suggested discontinuing antidepressant. They are often criticised for not sufficiently reviewing their antidepressant prescribing. (Perhaps you had become psychologically dependent on antidepressant.)

@stonec76934913 @jill_d35 @AhmadRehanKhan I think it does matter whether mental illness is caused by the brain. Of course it is mediated by the brain but that doesn’t mean it is necessarily caused by it. Organic mental illness, such as dementia and delirium, have brain causes. Functional mental illness does not.
