Breaking: Falcons are signing WR Drake London to a four-year, $141 million extension worth up to $150 million, including $100 million guaranteed, his agent told @adamschefter.
It makes London the third highest paid receiver in the league with the highest average per year in Falcons franchise history.
Drake London is the first big extension for the Falcons this offseason, with Bijan Robinson and potentially Kyle Pitts on the franchise tag still waiting in the wings.
Good deal for the Falcons and Drake London.
In absolute dollars, London is the third most valuable receiver of all time at this point at $35.25 AAV, which is great for him.
But he's not the third most expensive WR as it relates to his salary cap cost, which is 11.7%. That's good for the Falcons.
#Falcons DE James Pearce Jr. was approved for a program that could lead to the case against him being dismissed after one year, per @AndySlater.
His ex-girlfriend, Rickea Jackson, also dropped her request for a permanent restraining order.
As part of the agreement, Pearce Jr. must stay away from Jackson for the next 12 months while the case remains open.
SLATER SCOOP: James Pearce Jr. was approved for a fast-track to getting this case dismissed, I've learned. It will be a one year program instead of six months.
His ex-girlfriend, WNBA player Rickea Jackson, also voluntarily dropped her attempt at a permanent restraining order against the Falcons star.
Pearce Jr. must still stay away from Jackson for the next 12 months until this case is closed.
