#Referralupdate. The registered dates covered so far. No movement from last week. Also the timeline for reserving the child matched with parents/ your referral is now back to 48 hours. #CARA#AdoptioniInIndia#AdoptionDelays
@AdoptionAction@CARAWCD No system support for PAPs in waiting...neither technical nor human. The cries of agony of both parents and children in waiting is going unheard by the concerned agencies!
Post #Diwali a lot of PaPs registered with .@CARAWCD woke up to an increase in seniority! As high as 40-50 nos in a few cases. Seniority reflects a change in the system. It decreases as you move closer to yr referral. It's confusing & no one has a clue including #CARA's helpline.
"Around 30000 couples have registered for adoption. But only 2,989 children are available. Therefore, there was a “huge prospect for grey market of adoption, and which has been thriving due to cumbersome, lengthy, tedious procedure under the CARA”

#referralupdate (As of 1st Nov 2021)
A compilation every PaP waits for! @CARAWCD we need to bring back referrals to twice a week and ensure SAAs are equipped to facilitate this. This is what was commited to #AdoptiveParentsUnited
THIS is the extent of delay for #NRIs & OCIs registered with #CARA. On paper they are at par with resident Indians. If the rules are different they need to be told. If the timelines are different it needs to be on record. Why conceal information? .@MinistryWCD .@CARAWCD
If you know any NRI who got referral recently please let me and @Mishmash2021 know
Our AFAA hasn’t placed any child since april (as of two weeks ago)
This is the whole reason for the angst. No one including CARA is able to tell us what’s happening and why. @AdoptionAction
"A study by @waic_campaign revealed..most shelters keep children indefinitely, surviving on donations from public until they r old enough to fend for themselves." Children in shelter homes need to be assessed for legal adoption within 1 month of admission. https://t.co/pz2VXrqAO0
