We mourn the passing of Erick Del Campo, known to many as DJ Avenger, who passed away Saturday at the age of 44.
Erick was a beloved part of our Viva Tejas celebrations, bringing people together through his music, energy, and genuine love for our community. He also made history with us as the first guest DJ featured in our City Connect Friday series at Globe Life Field. He helped create moments of joy for fans and families alike, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
We are grateful for the time we shared with him and the memories he helped create at the ballpark.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
Texas is the dominant team in women’s softball at this moment in time. They earned their titles. But it took years of championship appearances for Mike White and Texas to get to win it all. Don’t lose heart Red Raiders, we will get there but we will need to grind and keep fighting just like the championship teams have done before us. We have built this program to the point that it will come.
National Runner-up is still an amazing feat.
Great players, great coaching and another great season.
Congrats @TexasTechSB - you made Lubbock oh so proud!!
"We helped pave the pathway to hopefully more investments coming...
I don't think someone's career is defined by a championship."
NiJaree Canady will be known a face of college softball and one who alongside Texas Tech grew the sport into the new era of college athletics.
