Lisa Domski had spent nearly 38 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan when the company introduced its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Domski, a devout Catholic, asked for a religious exemption. She wrote that the vaccines available at the time had been developed or tested using fetal cell lines from abortions, and that taking one would violate her faith.
Her job was 100% remote. She had no in-person contact with coworkers. The company denied her exemption anyway and fired her.
She won a $12.7 MILLION lawsuit for being wrongfully fired! Justice is served
I entered UCLA as a freshman at 46 and graduated with a computer science and digital media management degree at 50. In the ten years since, I’ve made three feature films, two film shorts, established a film festival, written for numerous publications, and published two books (third one on the way). You’re either alive or dead. Those are the only two ages.
HEARTBREAKING: Her 10-month-old baby was cut in half with a knife in front of her, her husband was shot dead, and she watched them split her second child's skull with a machete. They also cut off one of her hands.
This is life for Christians in Nigeria. The media remains silent.
5 CLASSY WAYS TO HANDLE HATERS:
1. Shut up and produce. You want to silence haters? Go make something. Every minute you spend clapping back is a minute you’re not building. Results don’t argue, they prove.
2. Ask ’em a question. Flip it on ’em. “Hey, what would YOU do?” Watch how fast they go quiet. People who talk trash rarely have a plan. Call the bluff, with a smile.
3. Agree and watch ’em short-circuit. “You know what, you might be right.” BOOM. Conversation over. They wanted a war and you gave ‘em nothing to fight. That’s not weakness, that’s control.
4. Wish ’em well and ghost ’em. No anger, no drama. Just, “Hey, I wish you the best, bro”and you’re gone. You can’t look forward and backward at the same time. Keep moving.
5. Outwork the hate. Here’s the truth, nobody hates on the guy sitting on the couch. They hate on YOU because you’re doing something. So what do you do? You do MORE. You level up so fast that by the time they finish talking, you’re already on a different floor.
Bottom line? Haters are just proof you’re in the game. Most people never even get hated on. Welcome to the next level, now get back to work.
Modern cars replaced every physical button with a touchscreen and called it progress.
I now have to take my eyes off the road and tap through two menus to change the temperature.
A knob did this in half a second without me looking.
Cost-cutting dressed up as the future.
A screen is cheaper to install than real buttons and they convinced the plebs it's a luxury.
It's really a personally transformational experience to take seriously the idea that
"This is the day the LORD has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."
is a commandment.
I don't care what he thinks about video games, Roger Ebert had the ultimate redpill on nerd culture as a whole.
This basically describes every fandom on earth, and once you see it, you can never un-see it.
WHEN SOMEONE HATES ON YOU, DO THIS:
1. Stay calm, nothing disrupts a hater more than watching you not give a damn.
2. Stop explaining yourself. They don’t want the truth. They want ammunition. Don’t give it to them.
3. Cut their access. You protect your peace by controlling who gets proximity to you.
4. Let your results do the talking. Your wins will say more than any argument ever could.
5. Kill the emotional reaction. The moment you react, they win. Don’t hand them that power.
6. Watch what they do, not what they say. Patterns reveal character. Words are cheap.
7. Stop defending yourself. They’ve already written their story. Your defense just adds chapters.
8. Be polite. Be professional. But be unavailable. That’s not cold, that’s smart.
9. Guard your reputation like it’s a business asset, because it is. Haters will try to spin the narrative.
10. Let time do its job. The truth always surfaces. Stay focused, keep building, and let them expose themselves.
Your only job is to live your best life. Now get back to it.
@BamaSaltyMarine You understand there are many constituencies of the program so they want to make it as attractive as they can so many will sign up. Between the snack, soda, grocery, convenience store industries - too many are beneficiaries to a bloated system.
The DINK lifestyle doesn't end with a tragedy. It ends with a quiet closing. The last of a line. A nursing home. A small funeral. No children.
Every civilization that chose comfort over children said goodbye the same way.
We're next, unless we choose differently.
make yourself so busy, so disciplined, so determined that you don't have time to know what's happening in other people's lives, making pointless comparisons, or irrational opinions. stay focused and devoted to yourself.
