As we observe this Black History Month, racist MAGA forces wage an all out attack on the hard won gains of the Civil Rights Movement and the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Now, more than ever, we must remember the history of the Black freedom struggle as one instructive for our fight today against fascism, imperialism, and the capitalist racism at the root of them both. We look to our predecessors for the wisdom to carry the struggle forward. Let us act in the spirit of the long line of Black revolutionaries in this country and wage a determined battle against a new Confederacy.
Today marks one year since the Israeli government began its campaign of terror against the people of Gaza, which has now expanded into the West Bank and Lebanon. For the past year the people of the world have watched in horror at the atrocities committed with impunity by occupation forces and financed with US taxpayer money.
But the past year has also seen the rise of a resistance movement against imperialism all across the world. Millions of people have come together and risen up in defense of the Palestinian people, learning from the steadfastness of their resistance. As we mark one year of horror, we also mark one year of a movement which has the power to transform our world and end the capitalist policy of imperialism and endless war. These emerging forces of popular resistance to imperialism recognize that peace must be an active state, one that must be fought for, and one that must be just.
After one year, our demands remain the same: end the genocide, end the occupation, and stop US weapons to Israel. We will continue to fight for a free Palestine and a world without genocide, occupation, and imperialism.
Marcellus Williams, whose chosen name was Khaliifah ibn Rayford Daniels, was lynched yesterday. This is the latest in a long tradition of using the law to lynch Black people for crimes they didn’t commit. Just as the Civil Rights Congress did in 1951, we STILL charge genocide.

Once again our Party hosted its national school for young communist organizers where they build the skills and knowledge to carry on the fight for socialism. We congratulate this year’s class and look forward to seeing them in the struggle!
Today we honor the birth of Fidel Castro, the Cuban revolutionary leader. As we continue to learn from the revolution in Cuba, we must also remember the fight to defend it against the US blockade. In Castro’s memory we continue the fight against US imperialism and for socialism!

Workers unionizing at Compass Coffee say management has hired over 120 people since they went public with their union drive including… wait for it… Cullen Gilchrist of Union Kitchen (!)
Gilchrist is very anti-union and busted his own company’s union: https://t.co/HOpfXfq8tG
We must remember the radical roots of Pride, which don’t begin or end with Stonewall. It is long traditions of resistance that birthed and sustained the movement for LGBTQ+ liberation. We must follow in their footsteps and celebrate Pride with struggle!
PRIDE IN D.C. WAS A RIOT, TOO!
The Zephyr Zap on November 28, 1970 was an uprising of gay people who fought back against anti-gay discrimination in a D.C. bar, leading to a historic trial where they took on the government and won.
The case was also the first time where a jury was able to be screened for anti-gay bias in a voir dire. As the team pushed back on the evidence, a Zephyr witness confessed to police telling her to lie about them covering up misconduct. Gays had fought the government and won.
