Today visited and inspected the erosion affected areas of Bahari including renowned Bahari Satra and its adjacent areas under Chenga Revenue Circle and also instructed W.R. & P&RD dept. to take immediate measures for protection of Bahari Satra and adjoining areas.

Today, total 20 nos of Tractor Units have been distributed from the Office premises of the DAO, Barpeta among the 20 nos of SHG/ASG under CMSGUY (2nd Phase) maintaining Social Distancing norms and other Covid-19 precautionary measures.

Today on the occasion of “Gandhi Jayanti”, Barpeta District Administration and Health & F.W. Department has felicitated 367 nos. of “COVID-Warriors” cleaning staff working at various Quarantine Centres and Health Institutions in the district.

74th Independence Day was celebrated today by maintaining Social distancing norms and other Covid-19 precautionary measures. Sjt. Sidhartha Bhattacharya, Hon'ble Minister, Law & Justice, Cooperation Deptt, GDD etc. Assam hoisted the National Flag as Chief Guest at Barpeta.
