An article of deviance in sports

Very good example of a BIPOC elite athlete from Sasks is Tegan McGrath, a talented Indigenous athlete who made contributions to the sport of rugby. She excelled on the field, also actively promotes representation within sports.
In terms of race logic in sport, an example is how certain sports may perpetuate stereotypes about race and athleticism, often leading to the underrepresentation of BIPOC athletes in specific sports. This can affect how athletes are recruited and supported based on their racial or ethnic backgrounds. As for organizations promoting racial and ethnic inclusivity, the Sasks Sports Hall of Fame has initiatives aimed at recognizing and the contributions of BIPOC athletes. They work to ensure that the history of diverse athletes are acknowledged, fostering a more inclusive environment
Social class heavily influences our ability to participate in or watch sports.The costs are going up. Take golf, for instance
- $1,000 + for clubs and $50+ for green fees. Skiing's not much better, with $500+ for gear and $100+ for lift tickets.
And let's not forget NFL tickets, which can exceed $100 per game.
It's clear that economic capital plays an important role in determining who can access sports. I completely feel that we need to address this inequality to make sports more inclusive. #KIN110UofR
@KIN110UofR I was a kid who wasn’t really allowed to play in playgrounds, but the little time I had to, it was really worthwhile. I one time had a major injury on my knee from playing in playgrounds and since then I was ever grounded.. #KIN110UofR

@mczemeres8@KIN110UofR I think same also, but if you think more on that? I feel like at some point, physical activities were created to motivate people to keep fit, in the way that, you’re being paid to keep fit. A win is a win, you keep fit, you get paid .
@KIN110UofR Sport can be defined as an activity, that requires teamwork, tactics and strategy.
While on the other hand, Recreation is an activity done for relaxation, leisure, fun and enjoyment. #KIN110UofR
@KIN110UofR Continuation:
New sports can emerge from Evolution of existing activities: Sports can branch out from traditional ones, like skateboarding originating from surfing.
