BREAKING: The gay hookup app Grindr lobbies the Trump administration and both parties in D.C. Grindr is pushing to get RID of its requirement to verify that users are at least 18 years old after it got sued by a 15-year old sex assault victim. Grindr recently thanked Mike Lee for helping their cause!

Grindr just disclosed another $522,500 in lobbying for Q3 2026, bringing their lobbying total this year to $1.48 million. Their top lobbyist is Republican Deb Fischer's former chief of staff Joe Hack.

Grindr's team has contacted both parties including staff for Susan Collins. Grindr has contacted the Trump administration including the Trump State Department. Trump Treasury official Shane Shannon went to a Grindr party after the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Grindr is lobbying for the App Store Accountability Act so Apple and Google, not the app, verify users are 18+. This comes after an alleged 15-year old sexual assault victim sued Grindr. The Senate sponsor for the bill is Mike Lee. Grindr’s lobbyist publicly thanked Lee’s leadership.
