For the month of May, the MHSAA, in partnership with @ElitePT_MS continues the Athletic Trainer Spotlight Program by recognizing Clayton Sibley, @athletics_dc trainer!

Clayton Sibley, known by athletes and coaches as Sib, is a Certified Athletic Trainer with Cornerstone Rehabilitation. A native of Batesville, Mississippi, Clayton graduated from Harding University and returned to North Mississippi to provide Athletic Training coverage to various high schools for the past eight years. He is currently serving as the Athletic Trainer at Desoto Central High School and DeSoto Central Middle School. Between the two schools, Clayton covers 26 boys and girls sports.
In his current role, Clayton plays a vital role in keeping student athletes healthy by providing coverage for Jaguar athletic events, managing injuries, and guiding safe returns to play. He also provides a platform for the next generation of Athletic Trainers by serving as a preceptor for both high school and undergraduate college students.
Clayton serves his athletes before and after practices and before and after games. During games, Clayton is one of the biggest supporters of athletes and his cheers can be heard by all. He is a vital factor in the success of athletics at DeSoto Central High School. His dedication and enthusiasm for DCHS make him one of the top athletic trainers in the state.
Next on the list… the boys 4x100‼️ This group broke their own record 3 times throughout this season and finished off with the 4th fastest time in the state! The final time… a 41.64. Congratulations on the record guys‼️
Next to be recognized is the Girl’s 4x200!! This group of girls consistently worked hard throughout the year and ended up breaking the previous school record by OVER 4 seconds. HUGE congratulations girls‼️
ELEVEN school records were broken this year. First up to be recognized is TREY WALLACE, who has two under his name! Trey SHATTERED the 100m and 200m school records! And he’s only a junior. Great job and huge congratulations to @underratedtreyw ‼️‼️
Congratulations to Cade Rodgers for getting 3rd in long jump and the girl’s 4x200 for placing 3rd as well at the 2025 State track meet. Many more great performances also happened yesterday at state!
We want to take the time to say thank you to @KONAICE and @Honda for providing our track team with shaved ice last week! Definitely enjoyed and appreciated by each one of us!
Congratulations to our Boys Track & Field team who is the only high school in DeSoto County to win the DeSoto County Championship in the '20s! (COVID in 2020/tornadoes in 2021 cancelled meets those years.) Our boys had a 4-peat... winners in 2022, 2023, 2024, & 2025! Way to go!
