Principal Lecturer in Marketing @ Leeds Beckett University. Interests: marketing, business education. Usually on a bike in the Yorkshire hills. Views my own.
@Only9built It's a different climb compared to Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. Most use the train to get their social media photo. To me it's wrong though and doesn't look good for their cause.
@petitecyclist UK audaxes starts at 30km and have the Randonneur level up to 150km. It looks like Germany doesn't bother with those. Battistrada may be worth a look - https://t.co/mH0MFLp9BN - as it covers all sorts of events from very short sportive-type rides to ultra-distance races.
@CopMoustache None of these for a first day would be my suggestion. No. 1 if you have to but 2 and 3 look like tablecloths (Sid's Café, Last of the Summer Wine?).
@Fireblade_Jim I've just bid, and won, a car on eBay. Made sure I put payment through immediately and contacted the seller to alleviate any concerns they have. Hopefully the winning bidder for my son's car that I have listed to end on Sunday will do the same.
@AWLymn@bigphil321 I've been in one of those. They're caring people - as demonstrated when my father had a fall at the internment and they took him to A&E rather than leave him. Made people look as he arrived!
@vuse_lover I have a piece of hidden text in my assignment brief asking for it to include a reference to Batman and Robin. Those who use AI,/a ghost writer and don't check are easily identified.
@Roadman_Podcast I've just entered a time trial in the 'steel road bike' category so, yes. I'll be using a restomod 1989 Raleigh 653, with downtube shifters.
@theburdbrain@GBNEWS Any club cyclist has to have third party insurance. Also, cyclists are probably covered third party under separate house insurance. You don't get that with a car.
