Some of the ideas were cool (although very little were actually completely unique), but if my 3080 and Ryzen 5900 put me at a competitive disadvantage I will simply not play. I think a lot of people experienced this and just gave the game hate for things unrelated to performance.

Highguard kinda dug its own grave by being so poorly optimized. If you’re a competitive game people are going to expect at least 144fps. I was getting ~50fps sometimes lower with minimal graphics and DLSS cranked to max performance mode. CS, OW, LoL… etc all run on potatoes.
