@maustermuhle This is still here as of 5/3... Fessenden and Wisconsin nw.
Gonna clean it up @311DCgov or is this a memorial to the destroyed vehicle from that 8,000 lb cybertruck hitting it?
@maustermuhle There is now glass all over the sidewalk at that corner up and down the streets, a random tire with a wheel, and part of an axle. All just laying there.
@ABC7 looks to me like the SUV DRIVER IN THE FKING BIKE LANE is the problem here and not the BIKE LANE. But go figure, side with the traveling band of anti-bike NIMBY's in dc. Great.
All this administration had to do was... Nothing. And everything would be better than it is now, and better than it will be for a generation while the nation tries to recover.
@mffisher Disgusting stuff, dude. Nice job saying that the right of person to drive around in a $60,000 car is for the little man while the person on the cheapo CaBi is the one exerting privilege.
“What doesn’t make sense is to hand car lanes over to cyclists when your real motive is to gum up traffic to discourage people from driving.”
No, the real motive is to ensure that cyclists don’t die on our streets simply based on the type of transportation they utilize!
Marion Barry was last Mayor in 1999. You could have been born in DC after he was Mayor and be 25 today. Most advocates cast off as young transients are firmly middle-aged parents of DC-born kids. These standards don’t add up.
I am a commissioner-elect sans car. Besides walking and @wmata, for the past ~10 years @bikeshare gets me where I need to go (at $95/year!).
My family cannot afford a car and live in DC at the same time. We *love* our car-free life & need safe, affordable options to get around.
News Alert:
@MayorBowser
renames DC the District of Traffic Violence as Vision Zero's Complete Streets design paradigm is abandoned in favor of parked cars and/or quicker through-travel times.
