Lifta, a Palestinian village on the outskirts of Jerusalem, was forcibly depopulated by Israel in 1948. It has sat empty since as Israel refuses its Palestinian inhabitants their right of return. Now, Israel is planning to demolish the village to build Israeli housing units.
