Operating a commercial van repair business with double vehicle-length doors at the end of a 50-metre terraced street is highly likely to be a breach of planning control and is legally vulnerable under UK law.
Impact on the Street Scene: Local councils in the UK assess whether large commercial/vehicle openings are out of character with a small residential street, particularly regarding visual impact, loss of privacy, noise, and streetscape aesthetics ?
Its difficult to imagine Graham Bonnet singing 'I Surrender' conversely though I never thought 'All Night Long' was the same with Joe Lynn Turner. I had a bootleg of that Donnington concert. Lent it to a friend, never got it back. Friends...
Rainbow with Ritchie Blackmore in the Difficult to Cure era, with singer Joe Lynn Turner, drummer Bobby Rondinelli, bassist Roger Glover and keyboard player Don Airey.
In 1980 Rainbow headlined the first Monsters of Rock festival at Castle Donington in England. For the next album, singer Graham Bonnet and drummer Cozy Powell were replaced by two Americans: Turner, formerly of Fandango, and Rondinelli. Writing had started with Bonnet still in the band, so Turner ended up singing over music that was already recorded, in higher keys than he would normally use. Difficult to Cure came out on February 9, 1981, and climbed to No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, the band's highest placing there. Its title track was Beethoven's Ninth, arranged by Blackmore, Glover and Airey. The album also gave Rainbow "I Surrender," another song by Russ Ballard, who had written "Since You Been Gone," and it became their most successful UK single. After the supporting tour, Airey left over musical differences and was replaced by David Rosenthal.
πΈ "I Surrender" reached No. 3 in the UK, the biggest hit single Rainbow ever had there. Do you remember hearing it on the radio back then? πΈ

Under the Manchester City Council Recruitment and Selection Policy, employment opportunities at Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3, as well as traineeships and apprenticeships, are strictly restricted to Manchester residents and internal council candidates. Good to know!
A bit of soy sauce, few mushies, quarter of an onion and something else and I've found I end up with something resembling a foo yong as I scrape on thesedays.
What was the last album you listened to - in full - without skipping any songs? For me it was this one - today. Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers.
