Format to qualify for TOP 16 in the #NHL24WC European New Years Open was horrendous.

It was supposed to be a swiss format but it actually just was an random matchmaking 💩 There's people in in the top 16 with 15+ free wins. And others had to play 90% of the games. Also there's a massive discrepancy between who some players had to play. Why not just make it an actual swiss where you play opponents as close to possible to your record!? Or even an regular champs matchmaking would've been better than this.

Also starting the games Thursday/Friday at a time when most people are still working is terrible.

Lot of stuff to fix with examples like this if this whole tournament wants to grow.
