Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) is a non-profit that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30.
Time Magazine, the Rockefeller Foundation, and... us?!
Yep, really, and we’re pretty proud of this one.
Our Disability Awareness PSA has been named a Finalist for a prestigious Shorty Impact Award, an international award “honoring the most impactful & purpose-driven work across digital & social media”.
Finalists this year include TIME, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Yale School of Public Health. Oh, and the NHL too...
So, we’re in pretty good company - wow!
If you’re not one of the more than 2.7 million people who’ve already watched our PSA on various platforms online, give it a look.
Apparently, it’s pretty good 😉
(And if you have seen it already, share & repost it so the world gets the message to See the Person, Not the Label).

💙October is Community Inclusion Month in British Columbia💙
Let's recognize the importance of creating communities where everyone feels welcome, valued, respected, and able to participate.
Inclusion means removing barriers, creating opportunities, listening to different perspectives, and making sure people of all abilities have a place at the table.
A truly inclusive community is one where everyone belongs, not just in October, but all year long.
Everyone belongs. Everyone contributes. Everyone matters.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On September 30th, we pause to listen, to learn, and to remember.
We honour residential school survivors, the families who carry their pain, and the children who never made it home.
We cannot change the past. But we can face it honestly, carry its lessons forward, and make sure those stories are never buried again.
There is enough division in our world. Let’s choose something different. Let our shared humanity shine brighter than the things that divide us.
DDA offices will be closed on September 30th. 🧡
