@davidpollack47 Buddy, stop. Georgia was starting trust funds in the names of parents to get kids to come and play for them before NIL. Stop acting upset now.
@davidpollack47 Buddy, you can stop picking and choosing which school to be outraged about. You deciding to have some sort of moral high ground is pretty telling. You still on that Jimmy Sexton trip or what? Your dear old Georgia did the same thing.
@sglockett I have one of those! As long as you can stay halfway warm, that’s a big deal. And that generator will pay for itself fast! Pray y’all stay safe and get power soon.
@sglockett Ice storms are the worse thing for electrical systems. They’re like bombs that don’t end. Slow, slow work. But they’re coming. I know it’s frustrating. Ice storm of 21 down here caused me to buy a generator.
@sglockett I’ll also say, if you’re on a line with few people, you may be towards the back of the line. The priorities is always numbers, and not necessarily areas. I know that HUNDREDS of extra linemen are on the way to help. Hopefully it won’t be long.
@sglockett Most of the time, they won’t give an estimate. They can promise two hours, but if something goes sideways and delays that, then they’ve just lied. Some companies give estimates to appease customers but they rarely hit them. I know it sucks but I promise those men are on the way.
If any of you Oxford folks need any help, @ReedTimmerUSA and @Unitedcajunnavy will be in the area with chainsaws and doing welfare checks. You can follow him for more information. Look, this power restoration could take days or weeks. Be patient. Be kind. Help your neighbors.
