We took you for granted

[Josh Howerton @howertonjosh]

With some people (and pastors) objecting, I want to explain really quick why this week's LIVE FREE episode (and social media) is unashamedly about the United States.

I love my King of Kings more infinitely than any earthly ruler.
And there is an Eternal Kingdom that has infinitely more allegiance from me than any earthly country.

But...

In the Bible, God established 3 institutions for the good of the world:

– The Family
– The church
– The State (governments)

This means that a Christian man should seek to be...

- A family man
- A churchman
- A statesman

This week, we'll celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, and part of being a "statesman" is loving your country.

- A family never gets better unless the father LOVES his family.
- A church never gets better unless people LOVE their church
- A nation cannot get better unless people LOVE their nation

So, I do unapologetically love my country, thank God for the historically unique way Christianity played a role in the founding of our nation, and I'll have a BLAST this week unapologetically and enthusiastically celebrating it and working for its future good... not IN SPITE of the fact that I'm a Christian, but BECAUSE I'm a Christian, who is grateful to God for what He has done in the past and imploring Him to pour out his Spirit in our culture for the good of its future... and then I'm going to walk in this weekend and preach verse by verse through Exodus 3 and make Jesus real famous.

"But seek the welfare of the [nation] where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare."
– Jeremiah 29:7

🚨 JUST IN: The MLB has BACKED DOWN, DECLINES to fine the Giants players after they wore Bible verses on the LGBTQ pride caps

"The players were neither fined nor disciplined, nor will they ever be." — letter to Sen. Josh Hawley

The MLB ADMITS they screwed up.

NEVER BACK DOWN when defending the religious freedom of Christians!

HUGE blunder by the MLB that this even became an issue. Christians won't take it!

Drake throws shots at Colts QB Daniel Jones on Iceman 👀

“Daniel Jones got the bag but the production still mid, Cam Ward the one they crownin’ now, young bull, that’s the kid.”

[Jon Gruden @BarstoolGruden]

We got a box from Nashville, Tennessee... it's the Tennessee Titans and their NEW colors!!

I can't wait to watch Carnell Tate run around and catch passes from Cam Ward in uniforms like these!

Thank you Coach Saleh and the entire @Titans team for this awesome box!

Abraham did not practice Judaism.

He was an Old Testament Christian.

Jesus: “Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day—he saw it and was glad.” John 8:56

Moses did not practice Judaism.

He was an Old Testament Christian.

Jesus: “For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.”
John 5:46

Christless Judaism has never led anyone to heaven. The Old Testament was Christianity concealed. The New Testament is Christianity revealed.
