The team are attending the Birmingham #research symposium today. Please go over and introduce yourself to the team if you are in attendance. Great areas of discussion and educational talks are underway.
Researchers from the NIHR @DDRHRC developed mechanisms that can help industry better evaluate medical devices. This saves costs compared to the usual study evalutions conducted in clinical trials units.💡
For example, the HRC mechanisms played a pivotal role for a moderately high risk study investigating an antibacterial dressing. This study could cost the manufacturer over £800,000 to run through a clinical trials unit but instead could be run with HRC support at a fraction of the cost.
