Owen’s goal was simple.
Get lean for Ibiza in 8 weeks.
He was already training before starting.
Gym sessions were being done.
Effort was there.
The issue was the structure around it.
Calories were too high.
Cardio wasn’t consistent.
Hunger would kick in during diets and things would fall off.
So we tightened everything up.
4 gym sessions/week.
Some weeks included a Hyrox session.
Intermittent fasting to control hunger.
Calories set correctly.
Cardio structured properly.
Weekly check-ins for accountability.
All while managing a couple of hurling injuries along the way and still playing hurling 2 to 3 times/week most weeks.
That’s what happens when training effort finally has a proper plan behind it.
