even if you don't believe in prison abolition, the question must be asked, what purpose do they serve? if it is to rehabilitate, they've proven remarkably bad at their jobs. if it is to punish, they still do a pretty lousy job at that.
Robert Eggers is the Wes Anderson of horror: they both have a specific style and no interest in changing it, you’re either on board with that style or you’re sick of it, they both like to work with the same stable of actors over and over (bonus: Willem Dafoe is in both camps)
Buying rent stabilized property with the goal of lobbying the government to jack up working people’s rent is such scumbag behavior. Guy is already worth $100 billion but he wanted to put families out on the street to grab a few more crumbs. Sociopathic economic system
@KeithCostigan Yeah, it’s a dopey position to take. Completely ignores his pedigree in club football. Nagelsmann knows how to manage, how to build a champion. The NT dynamic is different, but his football knowledge should be unquestioned.
@DaxMcCarty11 Anton is setting pick, that’s impeding the keeper & a foul. Does Gill oversell it, yes, but he has to get the attention of the officials.
Good call in my book. Anton would’ve been successful if he just stood still in front of Gill, as opposed to going towards him for the pick.
Let's not be naive here.
Anton's role in this set piece design is to impede the goalkeeper.
Is it a bit soft? Yes.
But do teams understand that efforts to hinder or obstruct the 'keeper is risking a whistle? Also yes.
You'll see it called at least once in most matches.
