Unfortunately, an unscrupulous scammer has taken my original account hostage, so I’ll be using this account from now on.
We’re still working to recover the old one. Until then, give me a follow and let’s reconnect!
All I want from Xabi Alonso next season is 25 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats in 38 league games, which will guarantee us 80 points and definitely a top 2 or 3.
But if you want to surprise me, give me 31 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats and watch me lay down my life for you.
🔵🫱🏻🫲🏼 Maxence Lacroix: “Here at Chelsea we want to win”.
“I am really happy to be part of this beautiful club. Everyone knows the legend of Chelsea, its tradition of winning, and to be a part of that is a proud moment”.
🚨 Maxence Lacroix set for medical today before joining Chelsea from Crystal Palace. ~£52m deal being finalised. 26yo centre-back to sign #CFC contract until June 2032. Chibuike Nwaiwu among alternative #CPFC options to Chrislain Matsima @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/pcDRsZHaNu
🚨 Chelsea have received £17m in compensation following Enzo Maresca's Manchester City appointment. And Maresca has already agreed a separate settlement
Maresca has publicly apologised following his Chelsea's resignation, while Chelsea say they feel "let down" by the Italian's departure since his "head and heart were focused on another club".
🗣️ Maresca: "The decision was only mine. My resignation from Chelsea opened a path for me to join Manchester City, which is a club I knew very well. I am ecstatic that I have now joined Manchester City.
"I recognise that my departure from Chelsea in the middle of the season caused disruption for the club and I apologise for that. It was neither my intention nor my wish."
Maresca was given permission to speak to Manchester City last year, but at the time Chelsea felt it would be with a view to continuing until the end of the season at the earliest.
🗣️ Chelsea statement: "Chelsea FC appreciates the 2025/26 season was a hugely disappointing one for the Club and its supporters. A major contributing factor was the disruption caused as a result of changes that the Club was forced to make to the Head Coach position over the Christmas period. Due to recent developments, we consider that it is important to explain to our supporters what happened and why our former Head Coach left the Club on 1 January 2026.
"In Autumn last year, the Club was informed by our former Head Coach that there might be an opportunity for him to succeed Pep Guardiola at the end of the season. It became clear to us that it was his strong desire to succeed Guardiola and that he was fully committed to pursuing the opportunity, despite the fact he was under a long-term contract which he had no right to terminate.
"In December 2025, our Head Coach unexpectedly and abruptly resigned from his position. Obviously, we felt let down as we believed that his head and heart were focused on another club and another opportunity, despite having just arrived at Chelsea the year before.
"No club wants to change its head coach midway through a season. However, in light of his decision not to continue fulfilling his responsibilities through to the end of the season, the Club was left with no choice but to protect our players, our supporters, and the Badge and accept his resignation.
"In the circumstances and given the mutual respect between clubs, a confidential settlement has been reached with Manchester City, which includes the payment of compensation. A confidential settlement has also been reached with the former Head Coach under which he will pay compensation.
"Looking forward to next season, in Xabi Alonso, we have a Manager who has an exceptional football mind and is a professional of the highest integrity. He has all the attributes to deliver the success the Club’s supporters deserve and expect."
🚨🔵 Marco Palestra will undergo medical in London on Friday as new Chelsea player.
Travelling to England to seal move from Atalanta as Palestra will sign contract until June 2032 plus option until 2033.
🚨 Agreement in principle for Marco Palestra to join #CFC.
Deal to be finalised in next 24 hours.
Chelsea and Inter offers not far off after Italian club increased bid.
Appeal of Palestra is his versatility. Can also play on the left.
Wage will fit into Chelsea’s structure.🇮🇹
🚨Chelsea are set to sign Atalanta defender Marco Palestra for a fee around £43m. The move is a hijack of Inter’s offer and green-lit by Xabi Alonso. Feeling is that he can play in both wing back and full back positions. Fits within the wage structure.
🚨💣 EXCLUSIVE: Real Madrid reach verbal agreement to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, HERE WE GO!
Verbal agreement in place between all parties, player too — he’s the left back wanted by Mourinho. Details to follow.
Cucurella leaves #CFC and joins Madrid after World Cup. ⚪️🇪🇸
There are some potential top players wasting away on Real Madrid bench.
Brahim Diaz
Franco Mastantuono
Gonzalo Garcia
Diaz is the one that pains me most. He's too good for that.
Remember that Xabi Alonso had Moussa Diaby, Amiri, Hudson-Odoi and so on in his first season at Leverkusen, but sold Diaby, sold Amiri and CHO went back to Chelsea. He rebuilt with wing-backs.
The man thinks like me, if you don't have elite level wingers that will change games for you, just use wing-backs who can contribute meaningfully in defence, which will minimise the defensive workload of the creators. Win-win situation.
Back when Thomas Tuchel was at Chelsea, he barely gave Tino Livramento a look, forcing a £5m move to Southampton. Meanwhile, he gave Lewis Hall his senior debut at Chelsea.
Fast forward to 2026: Livramento gets the England call-up ahead of his Newcastle teammate Lewis Hall.
