Cristiano Ronaldo is not perfect. No athlete is perfect. No human being is perfect. But the ease with which some people try to reduce his career to a missed penalty, a poor performance, or a disappointing result says more about our collective memory than it does about the player himself.

Football has a simple truth: no one wins alone. When Portugal won, the coaches, teammates, staff, administrators, and, of course, the players on the pitch all won together. But if no one wins alone, then no one draws alone either, and no one loses alone.

This is very simple.

The club are trying to price out the current match going fan to replace with tourists and day trippers. Legacy fans (as the club like to calls us) do not spend enough money!

The club is hemorrhaging money left right and centre. The minimum £66 for member tickets is a testing ground for the club and ticket pricing in the future. We know dynamic pricing is being discussed and on the way.

Cutting adrift our club from the community, it’s working class roots and generational fans.

THIS IS THE RINGING OF THE DEATH KNELL FOR FAN CULTURE

The simple answer to all this is to remove the Glazers and their debt. Match day revenue will increase once this happens. But it looks like the new investors are ignoring the £60 million paid in interest on the Glazers bad debt per year.

They prefer to squeeze as much money out of the match going fan base than confront the real financial issue with the club. The debt, the mismanagement of the club and the crippling interest payments.

The current atmosphere around the club and fan base is in the gutter. Nothing has changed. In fact it is worse than it has ever been.

The new pricing structure is due to be announced by the club in the next few weeks for season ticket holders and members. In anticipation of what we are led to believe will happen. The 1958 have asked our members who is up for the fight and ready to mobilise.
