We're proud to welcome our new colleague Prof. @Jeharrislaw to the faculty, and look forward to the experience and insight she will bring to the @PennLaw community.
As Dean of the Law School at @Penn, I joined 156 other law deans in a rule of law statement to address the #2020election and the events that took place in the U.S. Capitol. Read the statement here: https://t.co/HVc7W9ODEI
Welcome to @Wharton, @erikahjames! I look forward to working alongside you and finding new, innovative cross-disciplinary opportunities between our great schools.
For 50 years, Biddle employee Ray Trent collected historical & biographical materials on the exp of the black lawyer in America. Those materials constitute the library's Raymond Trent Collection, some of which can be found in the Rare Book Room T-255 #BlackHistoryMonth#PennLaw
Some professional news: This summer I head to the University of Pennsylvania, where I will be jointly appointed in the History department (@PennHistory) and law school (@pennlaw). (1/x)
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Celebrate this landmark moment by visiting the @ABAesq exhibit on women's suffrage, on view at Biddle Library now until Feb 28 https://t.co/3B8YoSblcA #pennlaw#pennlawlife#vote100#VotingRights
@micheleflournoy and @COFinkelstein@pennlaw for the 2020 Haaga lecture. The keynote address to our #WPSat20 conference! Thank you to @PennLawIntl for your support today!
Now that exams are finished for the semester, I want to apologize for any efforts the Law School made to close parody accounts immediately following the announcement of our name change. The actions were mistaken and contrary to our policy and values.
.@Dean_Ruger: Yes, the next three years will be hard work. But it will also be some of the most fulfilling work you’ll do, individually and with classmates, who will be your friends and colleagues for life.
.@Dean_Ruger: I am so grateful to be part of your beginnings in this profession. For myself and all of my colleagues here, we are so honored to welcome you all as members of the @PennLaw class of 2021!
.@Dean_Ruger: We want you to dive into not just learning the law, but learning the political context that surrounds lawmaking. We want you to learn about the business and economic realities that interact with law, and the psychological and sociological roots of core legal rules.
.@Dean_Ruger: To the class of 2021: As you begin your time here @PennLaw, I want to take a moment and remind ourselves that our nation’s foundational legal document recognizes that much work remains to be done to make our ideals of justice, equality, and liberty a reality.
You will be moving on after today, but you are all part of the @PennLaw community, and that doesn't end once you receive your degree.
This will always be your law school. You will always have a home here.
I extend my deepest congratulations to you, #PennLaw2018.
#PennLaw2018 - you've contributed tens of thousands of hours of pro bono legal services to people and communities who most desperately need them - in Philadelphia, across the country, and around the globe.
“There is a huge amount of buzz,” @Dean_Ruger said. “We’re thrilled that she has agreed to do more than one event. All the events are full, if not oversubscribed. There is a tremendous desire to interact with her.”
