I've tried several different kinds of "designer" Oreos. Some are like S'mores and some have different flavors in the filling, including what seems to be jam. Also peanut butter. I'm old-school. Just a plain old Oreo. Bite off the top half, scrape the tasty filling with your teeth, eat the bottom half.
59 years ago today, Thurgood Marshall was nominated as the first Black Supreme Court justice of the United States, on June 13, 1967.
He said:
"We must dissent from the indifference. We must dissent from the apathy, we must dissent from the fear, the hatred and the mistrust...
We must dissent because America can do better, because America has no choice but to do better."
Talarico: Here's what real men don't do. They don't lie and cheat their way through life. They don't sell their soul to the highest bidder. Real men serve others, weak men serve themselves. So I welcome this debate. I don't think Paxton or Cruz are in a position to tell anyone what a real man is.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support that @MichelleObama has poured into me over the years. Her story — from her South Side roots to the White House and beyond — is a central part of the Obama Presidential Center.
National Best Friends Day 💖
I’ve always had a little bit of Tennessee with me at every point in my career, thanks to my best friend, Judy Ogle. She traveled with me, worked as my assistant and was there for anything I needed. We had so many adventures and so many laughs – and I can’t imagine my years on the road (or my life) – without her!
BREAKING: Ken Paxton’s own lawyer just endorsed James Talarico:
“I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.
And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.
We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”
I owe my first (and only) French Open women's singles title to the one and only @ChrissieEvert.
Winning this title was a big goal, and she practiced with me endlessly in Florida beforehand so I could prepare.
I won the title 54 years ago today.
Thank you, Chrissie!
When we have the freedom to show up as our true, authentic selves, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
This Pride Month, let's celebrate the courage to live openly, the power of community, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and loved exactly as they are.
Happy #PrideMonth!
