@OAPeaky @pjwatto@Neil_Everatt I personally think it's a strawman argument to think it's an "either/or" situation. We need a fantastic events portfolio across the year AND a flagship Christmas Market. We're a tourist centric city, events are critical for return visits and all the industries it supports.
@StraitandNarro@Neil_Everatt@pjwatto There's a number of large event creators and managers that could form a partnership to overcome some of the issues, but I get the feeling it wouldn't be supported by key organisations. I do think it impacts the Lincoln economy far more than has been taken into consideration.
@spankyrogers @dpd_uk@danielionescu@thelincolnite interesting story about how @DPDgroup_news in Lincoln will be ruining Christmas for many with significant backlog of deliveries. Myself on day 5 of a next day delivery.
@LincsPolice@lincolncouncil the crowd control was awful at #LincolnChristmasMarket this afternoon. Allowing crowds to build with nowhere for people to go. Severe risk of crowd surge with only a couple of stewards who seemed oblivious to the dangers of crowd management.
@Neil_Everatt@SiemensMobility you guys manufacture pelican crossing controllers, can you give us an insight on why top and bottom aren't identical when the external display is?
@benscribbles @RobCrewsHole@PlanningShit I was looking for what one of your developments looked like as I've yet to see a permeable drive not covered in grass or moss.
@BootstrapCook@anovicekong IF Wikipedia is to be believed, he started on the shop floor in Marks and Spencers and spent 15 years working up into a management position and then the next 29 years climbing to the top. From shop floor to Boardroom.
@DanEllmore I wonder if anyone will ever look at a Veyron Supersport with the same fondness as a crazy little metro they saw going impossibly fast through a Welsh forest. I'd say not.
