@aWildKo@OfflineBTW@TheSchmungus@DestinyTheGame The issue is fireteam matchmaking. You get penalized for playing with friends so everyone goes solo or duo, which is destroying the game population
@DestinyTheGame@A_dmg04@A_dmg04 you need to take off fireteam matchmaking for trials. It’s virtually unplayable now and penalizes playing with friends which is what your ethos has been for 10 years. Fix it.
@PFF_Moo We’ve been having this convo for 15 yrs about maintaining possession going to the ground. If the rules committee wants to change the definition of a catch (again) so be it, but you start deciding arbitrarily how fast a replay is played we’re cooked and then THAT becomes an issue
@A_dmg04 Is there any plan to improve trials? There really should never be a mode that significantly incentivizes solo over duo or full stack. It really is time to remove fireteam size matchmaking
@JakeAsman@jazywebgem8 Im not disagreeing fundamentally Im just calling out how we don’t have a Vrabel ready for us. Harbaugh & Tomlin aren’t coming here. High end in demand young candidates aren’t coming here. So the option is to fire AG & take a flyer on TBD candidate & hope the outcome is different
@RichCimini McShay’s “Avoid NYJ” has been making its rounds this week for Dante which is silly considering his alt options are the LV, CLE, and AZ (true hotbeds of QB excellence) and less $$. Walk us through the scenario of Jets draft without Moore. Stay put or trade out load up on assets?
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm If Ohtani led in every major category, and Judge only led in HRs, Ohtani would be deserving to win, regardless whether Judge set the record or not. That would be insane to say Ohtani should win if Judge hits 61, but if Judge gets 62 he should win.
@brigreenwood529@MLB@MattressFirm I’ll play along: bWAR & fWAR both account for positions & fWAR accounts for defensive metrics & gives more points to more difficult defensive positions, including Catcher. Even with that Judge still had a higher WAR in both.
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm Ohtani’s pitching should absolutely be accounted for and it was! Ohtani absolutely had a case, the problem was Judge had higher bWAR and fWAR even with Ohtani’s pitching included into the calculation. 2022 hitting alone below:
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm I’m not trying to diminish Cal’s season. He was fantastic and that team was super fun to watch. Judge was just so dominant in every aspect of his play that it’s difficult to logically say he shouldn’t win. And that sucks bc Cal was truly amazing too.
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm I’m not debating if catching is hard. Raleigh had a great season, Judge just had a better one. Judge is not just the best hitter in the AL, but in all of MLB. If you took 200 points off Judge OPS, he’s Cal. If you took 200 points off Cal, he’s 83rd in MLB.
@motowski114 @MLB@MattressFirm He wasnt the best def catcher in the league Dingler was. But that said I’ll play along: bWAR & fWAR both account for positions & fWAR accounts for defensive metrics & gives more points to more difficult defensive positions. Even with that Judge still had a higher WAR in both
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm Yes it increases value at more difficult positions (ex: C and SS) and decreases value at easier ones (ex: 1st and 2nd). Cal was incredible hitting HRs, but if you want to talk about hitting difficultly Judge had an OPS 200 pts higher than Cal, an absolutely gargantuan gap
@find_the_juice@MLB@MattressFirm Cal simply being a catcher is really one of the worst possible arguments for MVP. But that said I’ll play along: bWAR and fWAR both account for positions and fWAR accounts for defensive metrics. Judge had a higher WAR in both.
