I could be wrong, but I just don’t think Twitter is the kind of space where we are going to change anyone’s minds about what they believe about politics. It’s rarely a nuanced or civil space around politics.
We teach you parent as long as they are financially dependent on you. Once they are financially independent then you advise when called upon. They do grow up and realize they need your advise here and there. We raise them to be independent.
When you get to the point as a parent where your kids don’t listen to you anymore, bc they already know more than you, they already know how to win, they already know how to get to the other side of the struggle, what exactly is your role?
