@steonthesea Bollox. Certain sectors ‘the elite’ got rich. Not the people, not the country-most British people worked in dangerous conditions as rent slaves in coal mines,tin mines,copper mines, mills,farm labour etc etc. Looked down upon by the elite the same as any non elite in the empire!

@ImmortanZit I think they were more Egyptian type people east South Mediterranean. Not sub Saharan. Although there is lots of evidence of amazing sub Saharan cultures, buildings, cities, empires in Africa.

@omgsidewalks Rulers, canes. The odd punch in the chest lol. On the rare occasions, there were nutty teachers you didn’t mess with but on the whole, You got what you deserved. I’m glad I was schooled then. My kids are rudderless. Lucky we are tight like friends, or I’d be in trouble!!!
