Just published Episode 3 of The Untitled Political Podcast with @MelissaLantsman — we had a great conversation about her trip to Taiwan, protests in Iran, Conservative convention, and much more.
Here's our discussion on what's happening in Iran — listen to the end to hear her message to the Iranian people.
Counterpoint: when I worked at party HQ, we did this for PM Harper. We received thousands of thoughtful birthday messages from delighted supporters and we shared them with him.
People like to feel connection with their political leaders. It’s a nice gesture. We don’t always need to be cynical.
Pierre Poilievre "I remember Mr. Alghabra lobbying me before he was in politics to keep Hezbollah legal, so I'm not sure that he's the right guy to combat anti Semitism." @PierrePoilievre
We should be working to end homelessness in Canada — not incentivizing it.
We know the real solutions: treating addictions, providing mental health supports, creating job opportunities, and building affordable housing.
The shelter system is not a permanent home for people down on their luck.
Trudeau-era vagueposting slop. Not a single policy or idea articulated in this campaign launch.
If this guy becomes OLP leader, Doug Ford will be Premier for 10 more years.
I’m running to restore the Ontario deal.
Ontario used to lead. Let’s lead again.

Je me présente pour rétablir le pacte de l’Ontario.
L’Ontario était autrefois leader. Reprenons les devants.
@globeandmail Once upon a time the @globeandmail was a serious newspaper.
Those days are long gone, I'm afraid.
Shame to see our media institutions rotting away in real time.
Mark Carney's cabinet is full of Trudeau-era ministers who remain hellbent on sabotaging Canada's economy and our future.
Even in the face of soaring gas prices, inflation, and job losses.
This is why Mark Carney has been all-talk, no action on major projects.
14 Liberal MPs write a letter critical of Carney.
CBC gets it and writes this.
"Despite signing their names at the bottom of the letter, the MPs do not want to be publicly identified," CBC writes.
No names released.
This would not happen to Poilievre.

Had an incredible time at @canstrongfree in Ottawa last week.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to chat with us about the important work we're doing at @testerdigital for conservative campaigns across Canada!
Way to go Toronto.
Close the DVP between Jarvis and the 401, and then have a marathon on Front so nobody can access Jarvis, and then do nothing to let map applications know roads are closed.
Then have all the re-routes be an extra hour because no light timing changes or traffic control is added.
Oh, and then close down major parts of Line 2 and surely, Metrolinx can’t coordinate with the city either and so, let’s reduce GO Rail. Because who needs to travel north, south, east or west on Mothers Day.
Because of course, we cannot expect government agencies to coordinate with each other, as if solving coordination problems isn’t a key function of government.
So a 1hr drive to visit my mom I planned for 1.5hr has become nearly 2.5hr.
Pure dysfunction, yet no one to hold accountable. Ontarians frustrated with the indifference of our governments towards the inconveniences they cause us, I see you. You’re right to demand higher standards.
.@iainblackbc said most B.C. voters are frustrated with schools pushing radical views onto their children.
"That is not acceptable—referring to ourselves as 'settlers' and 'colonizers' and referring to Canada as 'stolen land.'"
