Trump didn’t wreck Canada. He just showed up with a bullhorn and started reading the fucking damage report out loud.

That’s why they hate him.

Canada spent years choking its own energy sector, underfunding its military, bloating its welfare state, and importing huge population growth while pretending all of it would somehow make the country stronger. Meanwhile it sits on the fifth-largest oil and natural-gas reserves on Earth, piles of timber, metals, minerals, and direct access to the richest market on the planet. Most countries would kill for that hand.

Ottawa played it like a drunk at a blackjack table.

Then Trump started laughing.

He mocked the dependency. He hammered NATO freeloading. He pointed at trade. He jabbed at Canada’s reliance on the American market and American defense. Mark Carney can wrap himself in the maple leaf and sneer at Trump all he wants. The numbers still sit there like a goddamn corpse nobody can hide.

America became the world’s largest oil and gas producer. Its tech companies dominate. Its GDP pulled roughly $10 trillion ahead of either China or the EU. Washington started rebuilding military power while Canada kept clinging to the same stale European crap that helped produce weak growth and weaker leverage.

That’s the humiliation.

Trump walks into the room, points at the wreckage, and says, “Look at this shit.”

Canadian elites scream about his tone because his tone is easier to attack than the record.

He’s rude. He’s obnoxious. He trolls the living hell out of them.

And every time he does, he forces the same ugly question back onto the table:

How the hell did a country with this many advantages manage to make itself this dependent?

Let me wrap my head around this.

We’re now hearing that Mark Carney INTENTIONALLY collapsed a trade deal with Canada’s largest trading partner, inflicting economic harm on Canadians for the political gimmick of boosting the Liberal Party and manufacturing an American enemy to deflect from their own failures.

That is banana-republic-level stuff.

And somehow, on October 19, people are still contemplating voting Option 1 and empowering this man to keep doing it.

I am generally not one to weigh in on the whole trade war thing all though I do monitor and keep abreast of the situation.

But this guy has it right. Its worth 3 minutes of your time to get an accurate picture of where the country of Canada actually is, what its prospects are under an unfavourable relationship with the USA and the clear messaging that Canada has to go back to the USA and work a deal.

@Martyupnorth Its always cheaper here. It was $1.23 when i filled up earlier this week. Consistently cheaper than edmonton. Not sure why.
