If you are born here, you belong here.
As July 4th approaches, I can think of no better gift than the court’s affirmation of birthright citizenship. Happy Anniversary, America. The Constitution wins again.

Summer in Rhode Island just got even better.
The new boardwalk and bulkhead at Roger Wheeler State Beach will improve accessibility and help protect this Ocean State favorite from the impacts of climate change, so more Rhode Islanders can enjoy it for years to come.
Cristiano Ronaldo had this to say following his game against Columbia today:
“I’ve played countless games in my career, but I can confidently say the grass we’ve played on this World Cup is the best I’ve ever seen. The fellas over at @MSUTurf did an amazing job.”
Rhode Island’s Summer of Soccer is in full swing!
Sue and I loved seeing Rhode Islanders come together in Central Falls and East Providence yesterday to cheer on teams from around the world and showcase the energy and spirit that make our state so special.
Proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with @UFCWLocal328 and the thousands of frontline workers they represent.
Gov. McKee will never stop fighting for Rhode Island's working families and good union J-O-B-S!
Workers who have followed the law, paid taxes, raised families, and helped build America deserve certainty, not political limbo.
LIUNA stands with our TPS members and calls on Congress to act. Temporary protections are no substitute for permanent solutions. It's time to pass immigration reform that creates a pathway to citizenship.

Learning. Jobs. Health. Opportunity.
That's what the new Charlestown Community Learning Center is all about.
It's 1 of 21 Community Learning Centers we're opening across the state to connect more Rhode Islanders with the resources they need to succeed.
Today, I signed a bill to support workers, protect jobs, and improve customer service by setting limits on grocery self-checkouts.
Grateful to @Val_Lawson, @CotterforRI, @UFCWLocal328 and everyone who worked to get this passed.
We're opening 21 Community Learning Centers across Rhode Island, and Coventry's new center—the largest renovation of its kind in the state—will connect residents to education, workforce training, and health resources all under one roof.
The contrast in this race couldn’t be clearer: while Helena Foulkes collected $2.6 million from Home Depot's board while its PAC funneled $7 million to anti-abortion politicians, Gov. McKee expanded reproductive access to ensure that 90,000 Rhode Islanders are still able to get the care they need, no matter what happens federally.
I believed in Tidewater Landing from day one.
The stadium was just the start.
Today, I joined Mayor @DonGrebien to announce infrastructure funding that will help unlock the next chapter: housing, restaurants, retail, a pedestrian bridge, and more.
Let's keep building.
Casey’s Law is about accountability, safety, and honoring a young life taken too soon.
I joined Casey Bassignani’s family, law enforcement, and lawmakers to sign legislation to strengthen penalties for motor vehicle offenses involving road rage, another step toward safer roads.
