Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 50 years on every salary I received. From my first part time job until I retired. I always had a job.

The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.

The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too.

It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
Congress took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking.

They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.

Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity!

Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government.

Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income.

🚨 THE INDIANA FEVER HAVE A CAITLIN CLARK MANAGEMENT PROBLEM — AND IT’S BIGGER THAN ONE COACHING DECISION.

Caitlin Clark is a rhythm player. When she sees one or two shots fall, her confidence grows, her range expands and suddenly the entire floor opens up.

That’s why Indiana’s substitution patterns continue to baffle me.

We’ve seen it repeatedly: Clark starts finding her shot — she comes out. She finally strings together consecutive baskets — she comes out. There have even been moments where she misses an aggressive three and shortly afterward she’s headed to the bench.

Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell is allowed to play through difficult shots and offensive mistakes without seemingly having that same immediate hook.

This isn’t about attacking Stephanie White. This is about questioning the Indiana Fever organization and how it is managing its franchise player.

If Clark is your cornerstone, then TREAT HER LIKE ONE. Learn her rhythms. Empower her through mistakes. Put the basketball in her hands. Build an offensive identity around the generational skill set sitting directly in front of you.

Because watching one of basketball’s most dynamic offensive talents repeatedly reduced to standing off-ball, searching for touches and having her rhythm interrupted is becoming impossible to defend.

And I never thought I’d say this:

If Indiana cannot figure out how to maximize Caitlin Clark, maybe Clark eventually needs an organization that will.

Sometimes having a generational player isn’t enough.

Some people are going to HATE this, but after Fever-Liberty, somebody needs to say it:

1. ALIYAH BOSTON — THIS IS NOT MAX-PLAYER BASKETBALL.
The interior defense has been ATROCIOUS. Bigs are catching the ball underneath the damn rim. Add the missed bunnies, shaky footwork and rebounds slipping away — what exactly are we paying max money for? THE STANDARD HAS TO BE HIGHER.

2. STEPHANIE WHITE’S 2-3 ZONE WAS COACHING MALPRACTICE.
New York puts FOUR dangerous shooters on the floor and Indiana decides to sit in a ZONE?! Then watches THREE AFTER THREE AFTER THREE drop and STAYS IN IT.

SIX THREES AND YOU STILL DON’T CHANGE THE DAMN DEFENSE?! WHAT ARE WE PRACTICING?!

3. THE KELSEY MITCHELL OFFENSE IS BECOMING PAINFUL TO WATCH.
Too many possessions are turning into dribble… dribble… dribble… head down… shot. The extra pass disappears. The ball movement dies. Everybody looks like they’re hunting THEIR offense instead of THE offense.

And now for the part that’s REALLY going to piss people off:

4. THE FEVER ARE TURNING CAITLIN CLARK INTO A ROLE PLAYER BECAUSE EVERYBODY SEEMS DETERMINED TO PROVE THIS ISN’T HER TEAM.

I’m calling what I SEE.

You have arguably the most dangerous playmaker in basketball STANDING IN THE CORNER while everybody else gets to audition for lead guard.

Clark finally hits TWO STRAIGHT SHOTS and starts cooking?

SUBBED OUT.

Indiana is within one possession when she leaves. She comes back minutes later and they’re DOWN NINE.

HOW MANY TIMES DOES THE SAME DAMN LESSON HAVE TO BE TAUGHT?!

And I’m going there: THIS IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE AN INTERNAL POWER STRUGGLE ON THE COURT.

I can’t tell you what Boston, Mitchell or anybody else personally feels about Clark — none of us are in that locker room — but the basketball is giving off a TERRIBLE perception: everybody wants to prove their importance instead of accepting the obvious.

CAITLIN CLARK IS THE ENGINE.

That doesn’t diminish Boston.
That doesn’t diminish Mitchell.
It should make THEIR JOBS EASIER.

But instead of building around Clark’s gravity and playmaking, Indiana keeps finding new ways to minimize it.

THIS TEAM DOESN’T HAVE A TALENT PROBLEM.

🔥 IT HAS AN IDENTITY PROBLEM.
🔥 IT HAS A COACHING PROBLEM.
🔥 IT HAS AN ACCOUNTABILITY PROBLEM.

And until everybody accepts their role and starts playing complementary basketball instead of MY-TURN-YOUR-TURN basketball, the Fever are going to keep wasting one of the biggest advantages in the entire WNBA.

CALL A SPADE A SPADE. THIS IS A MESS.

My issue has NEVER been whether A’ja Wilson, Olivia Miles, Napheesa Collier or the other stars of this league can play. They’re great basketball players.

My issue is the completely different standard Caitlin Clark appears to face from certain corners of WNBA media.

Monica McNutt. Andraya Carter. Chiney Ogwumike. Jemele Hill. Swin Cash. Sydney Colson. Former players. Analysts. Talking heads.

Different people, different opinions — but collectively, Clark’s coverage too often feels like an endless search for the next reason to minimize what we’re watching.

Caitlin dominates? Talk about turnovers.

She puts up historic production? Find the flaw.

She drives enormous audiences? Debate whether she’s REALLY the face of the league.

She takes heavy contact? Talk about her complaining instead of asking why the whistle appears inconsistent.

Meanwhile, another superstar gets similar production and suddenly we’re discussing greatness, dominance, MVP and legacy.

THAT is what people are tired of.

And let’s stop pretending Caitlin Clark appointed herself the face of anything.

THE PUBLIC DID THAT.

She didn’t tell millions of people to watch. She didn’t tell fans to buy tickets. She didn’t tell television networks to put the WNBA front and center. She played basketball, and an enormous audience followed her into this league.

Instead of embracing that reality, too much of the conversation has become ANYBODY BUT CAITLIN.

And officiating deserves scrutiny too. When fans repeatedly watch Clark absorb significant contact without a whistle while watching other stars receive calls on considerably less obvious contact, asking for consistency isn’t persecution — it’s asking the league to explain its standard.

This is bigger than one MVP debate.

It’s about why Caitlin Clark seemingly has to prove her greatness OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN while everybody else’s greatness is allowed to simply exist.

Critique her game. That’s sports.

But when criticism becomes the default response to virtually everything she accomplishes, don’t be surprised when millions of fans start questioning the people controlling the microphone.

Caitlin Clark doesn’t need the media to manufacture her greatness.

The performances, attention and impact speak loudly enough.

She just needs them to stop grading it on a different damn scale. @WNBA #espn #wnba

If your coverage repeatedly finds reasons to criticize Caitlin but struggles to acknowledge her greatness when she dominates, people are going to question your objectivity.
