I declare that this week, the season of regret comes to an end in your life. Every missed opportunity and past mistake will not define your future. May God open new doors, restore your hope and lead you into new possibilities, in the mighty name of Jesus!
Declare your Amen in the comments and have a blessed week.

Before you sleep tonight, speak this over your life:
“I will not fail. What God has started in my life will be completed. I will rise, I will succeed, and I will have reasons to testify. My story will end in victory, not defeat.”
Sleep with faith. Your testimony is coming. 🙏🏽❤️
Thank you sir. But let us read what Jesus actually said, not what tradition has assumed.
In Matthew 17, the disciples could not cast out the demon.
Jesus did not say, “This kind of demon does not go out except by fasting and prayer.”
He said, “This kind goes not out except by prayer and fasting.”
The question is
What kind?
The demon
or
the unbelief
Jesus already answered it Himself.
He said plainly
“Because of your unbelief”
not
“because of the strength of the demon.”
The entire conversation was about their unbelief, not the demon’s resistance. Jesus never once attributed the failure to the demon. He put the responsibility squarely on the disciples’ lack of faith.
So when He said “this kind,” He was referring to the kind of unbelief that was at work, not a kind of demon.
And to make it even clearer, He added:
“If you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain and it shall move.”
This means
even the smallest measure of faith would have handled that demon instantly.
So the idea of “a stubborn demon that only respects fasting” is not from Jesus. It is from human tradition.
Moreover Matthew 17 happened before the Cross
before principalities and powers were disarmed
before the new creation
before the believer was seated far above all rule
before the authority in His name was bestowed on the church.
Jesus was speaking to men who were not yet born again
men who had no indwelling Spirit
men who had not yet received power from on high.
In that old covenant moment, prayer and fasting helped them deal with their unbelief, not with demons.
Demons do not become weaker because you skip food.
But your heart becomes more aligned, more yielded, more attentive to God
so the unbelief that blocks authority is weakened, not the demon.
The demon in that story left instantly the moment Jesus spoke because demons are not the problem.
Faith is the issue.
Unbelief is the mountain.
Fear is the hindrance.
If demons needed fasting before they obeyed, Jesus would have fasted first. But He didn’t.
He simply rebuked the spirit and it left.
So what is “this kind”
This kind of unbelief
This kind of spiritual dullness
This kind of inner instability
Prayer and fasting deal with the man, not the demon.
And now after the Cross
after the resurrection
after the name above all names was conferred
after believers were raised and seated far above
after every demon was placed under Christ’s feet
Prayer and fasting do not strengthen your authority
They strengthen your alignment.
The demon was never the problem.
Unbelief was.
And Jesus said it boldly.
That is the truth.
And it is liberating.
